Meet JoDee Mickelsen

JoDee has been a farmer for life.  Growing up on a large farm in rural Idaho, she spent her days riding her favorite horse, Boots, herding cattle & moving pipe.  Upon moving to Utah, it was one of her dreams to raise her children on a functioning farm.  After graduating from BYU with a degree in Elementary Education and working shortly as a teacher, JoDee spent the next 15 years as a stay-at-home mom raising six children and many many animals (some of whom she almost regards as children).
As her children have grown and all entered school, JoDee returned to teaching and currently teaches the 7th grade at Timpanogos Academy, where one of the electives she teaches is animal science.  During her summers she still enjoys spending time with the family on the farm and sharing her expert horsewoman skills as a horse-back riding instructor.  JoDee loves working with children and also volunteers as an instructor on all animal merit badges with the Boy Scouts 0f America organization.  Along with being a busy mother & grandmother (her kids & grandkids can't keep up with her), JoDee has numerous hobbies and especially enjoys traveling with her husband, Al.

Meet Jandee Jones

Growing up on the family farm, Jandee found life anything but predictable.  Outside of the ordinary chores caring for their 45 + animals and large garden, daily adventures like catching a mischievous runaway goat or as a 13  year old girl (home alone) helping to foal our horse Coleman, farm life kept Jandee on her toes.  As a life-long horse lover, Jandee spent almost every summer morning riding her horse with the local 4-H group and also enjoying long rides with her family.
Looking back, Jandee has found it surprising how lessons learned on the farm would come in handy in college, career & starting her own family.  While farmer & ballerina aren't two words you usually associate together, they both describe Jandee, who has been dancing since the age of three and has enjoyed teaching ballet for the past seven years.   Since graduating from BYU & marrying her sweetheart, Jordan, Jandee is currently a new mom to baby Isaac.  She also enjoys teaching ballet and working as  freelance photographer.  Some of Jandee's favorite hobbies include:  reading, painting, sewing, cooking, photography & travel.
